Job Summary
Assist the Financial Crime Risk (FCR) team in conducting their core service activities, main responsibility is to conduct financial crime related risk assessments in line with FCR methodology.
Key Work Outputs and Accountabilities
- Business Wide Risk Assessment – Conduct the Business wide risk assessment in line with FCR methodology. To identify and assess the inherent risks, control effectiveness and residual risks the firm faces from a financial crime perspective.
- Specific Risk Assessments – Conduct Financial Crime specific risk assessments relating to, country, product, client, delivery channel in line with FCR methodology.
- Committee Papers - Assist the Head of Core Services in the compiling of internal governance committee papers.
- Training - Assist in the planning and delivery of Financial Crime Training as required in the Bank’s Annual Training Programme. Ensuring that training records are accurately maintained.
- Management Information - Assisting in the collation and trend analysis of key risk metrics to measure the position of the firm against its financial crime risk appetite.
- Regulatory Returns – Assist the Head of Core Services in compiling statutory reports required by respective regulatory bodies – FCA/PRA and OFSI.
- Supporting other areas of the Financial Crime Risk Team as and where required.

Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in 2nd Line financial crime related roles at regulated institutions.
- Robust understanding of the UK regulatory environment across all areas of financial crime – AML, Sanctions, Fraud and ABC.
- Detailed understanding of financial crime regulatory requirements for a dual-regulated firm (smaller or medium advantage).
- Solid knowledge of the financial crime risks inherent in Banking / Trade Finance products and markets and the necessary mitigating controls.
- Strong analytical skills with intermediary / Advance Microsoft Excel knowledge required.
- Relevant industry qualifications e.g. ACAMS, ICA.
