Job Summary
Reporting to the Cyber Security Manager and working within the Information Security Operations team, the role will provide support across the Bank’s information security. The role will involve learning about and leveraging various specialist enterprise information security tools to monitor, investigate and report on incidents and vulnerabilities, as well as helping to ensure adherence to the Bank’s policies and standards.
Key Work Outputs and Accountabilities
- Learn to utilise a number Cyber Security tools and technologies, including the Security Event and Incident Management and Security Operations Centre solutions, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Anti-Malware, Web Gateway, and Email security solutions to monitor and investigate alerts, adhering to procedures and escalating to relevant teams, where necessary.
- Working across business units to support the timely completion of the periodic access reviews.
- Support the Cyber Security awareness campaigns and staff training, including the periodic phishing simulations.
- Support the Cyber Security Operations team in ensuring network security principles are enforced to by leveraging Firewall and Intrusion Detections Systems (IDS).
- Assist with the periodic vulnerability scans and coordinate the remediation of findings with the wider IT function.
- Assist in producing the Cyber Security performance metrics.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Knowledge:
- A degree in Information Security or a related field is preferred. We also welcome applications from candidates who are currently pursuing or planning to pursue such qualifications.
- A strong interest in Information Security is essential.
- We value a proactive attitude and a willingness to continuously develop new skills.
- Relevant Cyber Security certifications are a plus.
Experience:
- Ability to effectively utilise core MS Office systems (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
- Experience working collaboratively within a team to produce deliverables.
- Have successfully conducted research and self-teaching to develop knowledge on technical topics.
Skills:
- Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team.
- Good time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines.
- The role holder must be self-motivated, able to work on their own initiative and liaise effectively with professional staff and customers throughout the business.
